Who wants to workout at a crowded gym?

That's the question I asked myself when exploring this dataset. For this project, I analyzed a dataset concerning the crowdedness at a campus gym at UC Berkeley. This dataset provides insights into gym attendance patterns, with variables such as time, day of the week, and occupancy rates. Using Excel and PowerBI, I was able to visualize and identify trends in the data, helping to understand peak hours and underutilized times at the gym.

Through Excel, I performed initial data cleaning and basic statistical analysis to determine patterns. I then leveraged PowerBI for dynamic visualizations, creating a dashboard that can be used to implement strategic initiatives that can change gym attendance. These visualizations helped highlight which times of the day and days of the week experienced the highest and lowest crowd densities. This analysis can be useful for gym management at UC Berkeley to optimize staffing, facility usage and the overall experience for gym-goers.

This project showcases my ability to analyze real-world data and communicate insights effectively, using data visualization tools to present actionable information.
