Mom was Right - It Really is That Damn Phone

This project was my reintroduction into SQL using PostgreSQL and PGAdmin 4. I analyzed a dataset focusing on mobile device usage metrics and user behavior, which captured patterns such as screen time, app usage, and demographic trends. This dataset provides insights into how users interact with their devices and the factors influencing their digital habits.

Using PostgreSQL, I used queries to identify trends, aggregate data and segment user behaviors across various demographics including age and gender. PowerBI was then utilized to create dynamic visualizations and a dashboard to provide deeper exploration of the data. This dashboard highlights general statistics from the data including the sample size, average age and screen time, while providing details on operating system share, correlations and differences in gender.

This project showcases my effectiveness at manipulating data in SQL and leveraging PowerBI for data storytelling. The insights from such a dataset can lead to organizations refining app development, targeting specific user segments, and improving engagement strategies with their users.
